An aligned project for the studio, with Farah's training in the historical styles of Europe and Asia, this couple wanted to blend their two distinct cultural backgrounds, using English furniture and Chinese art. With many renovations, we created a more aligned and balanced home for this active family of five. This space now tells the whole story of this family.

Without a dedicated space for meals, or an organized entry for their busy lives, we created a seamless addition that gave them a breakfast table, a mudroom and a lovely entrance. We turned the old dining room into a family room and created an elegant formal dining area in the expansive living room.

We added new windows and doors to the living room in order to bring in more light and create more balance in the space. On the second floor, a hallway ended abruptly and cut the house in half. We re-routed the hallway to connect both sides of the house, gaining a private bedroom in the process, and two larger renovated bathrooms for the children.
